In anticipation of large crowds this weekend, the City will temporarily close all city beaches, Huntington Harbour beaches, Sunset Beach, and the Pier on Saturday, July 4 and Sunday, July 5 to limit the spread of COVID-19. This decision was made in coordination with Orange County and the Cities of Newport Beach and Laguna Beach, which will implement the same measures along their coasts. Please be advised that street sweeping and parking control will being their normal route starting June 22nd, with a two week “written warning” period. Ticketing will resume July 6th. If you have any questions please contact police dispatch at 714-960-8811.
Tonight at 8pm, the City of Huntington Beach will enact a curfew for specific locations in the city. The curfew will include the area from Yorktown to the Pacific Ocean, and Beach Blvd to Goldenwest.
